Dr. David Hallenbeck and his wife Mimi live in Alden Bridge with their three children. While he is originally from Upstate New York, his wife is from Spring, Texas and they have many family members living in both Houston and Fort Worth. The decision to make Texas their home was an easy one. It is close to family, offers a great quality of life, and it doesn’t hurt that Dr. Dave never has to dig his car out of the snow again!
In his free time when he is not being tackled by his kids, Dr. Dave loves to read and cook. He likes to stay active by running, playing baseball, and bowling. As a family, the Hallenbeck’s make frequent trips to all the amazing local parks, love to attend community festivals, and frequently visit their extended family.
Dr. Dave graduated with honors from Ave Maria University in Florida. It is there that he met his wife, Mimi. He then attended dental school at the State University of New York at Buffalo, also graduating with honors. During his time there, he realized his calling to become a pediatric dentist. Dr. Dave went on to complete an additional two years of training in Buffalo, NY at John Oishei’s Children’s Hospital. Training included rotations in anesthesiology, the craniofacial clinic, and in a clinic dedicated to patients with special healthcare needs.
Dr. Aalia Farukhi joined the team at Creekside Pediatric Dentistry in January 2023. Though she is new to our practice, she is not new to pediatric dentistry!
Dr. Aalia attended the University of Houston and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Nutritional Sciences. She then went on to complete her dental school training at UT Health San Antonio School of Dentistry. While at dental school, she was one of ten dental students selected nationwide to perform research on cutting edge therapies and dental treatments at the National Institute of Health.
After graduation, Dr. Aalia returned to her hometown of Houston where she worked as a general dentist, and found her passion in treating children. She returned to school and earned a Master of Science in Dentistry while completing a two-year pediatric dental residency program at the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston. She received extensive training on treating patients with special health care needs at Children’s Memorial Hermann Hospital and Texas Children’s Hospital.
Outside of dentistry, Dr. Aalia enjoys spending time with her family, exploring the local parks, being active, and gardening.
